About the Position

The City of Port Adelaide Enfield is a growing, thriving, and diverse community. As they embark on an exciting IT transformation journey, the City of PAE is looking for an experienced Cloud Network Administrator to join their IT Operations Team. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of their IT revolution and work in a dynamic, multi-vendor, multi-site environment.


Reporting to the Team Leader IT Operations, you will be responsible for supporting the integrity and availability of the City of PAE’s IT systems. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and leadership skills to effectively manage and optimise IT infrastructure and support complex network environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy and execution of design, procurement, and implementation of the IT network in conjunction with vendors and external advisors.

  • Cloud migration and management of cloud and hybrid network environments ensuring security standards and controls are delivered and maintained to the required tier levels.

  • Design, deploy, manage, and monitor cloud and on-premises Windows server infrastructure.

  • Provide technical leadership for a broad range of physical and cloud-based systems.

  • Research, analyse, and resolve complex network connectivity and cloud infrastructure issues.

  • Lead and manage overall system administration.

  • Provide 2nd-level support to resolving complex network interruptions, software conflicts, and hardware malfunctions.

  • Provide complex network hardware setups, software installations, and updates.

  • Monitor and administer network and cloud infrastructure.


Skills and Experience


To be successful, you will need to be skilled in Cloud computing, networking, cyber security, communications, and all things IT infrastructure from within a diverse multi-vendor, multi-site environment, with a passion for delivering excellent customer experiences and continuous improvement.


Other

  • Possess a relevant tertiary degree, with a minimum of five years' experience in a similar role.

  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, AWS, Cisco will be highly regarded.

  • Cybersecurity certification or previous exposure desirable

  • Experience in leading or supporting a migration of on-premises systems to cloud-based infrastructure.

  • Experience in managing AWS cloud infrastructure, Microsoft Server, SQL, Active Directory and Office suite of applications.

  • Experience in managing corporate IT networks, servers, databases, hardware & software, unified comms solutions, integrations and associated tools.

  • Current driver’s licence (Car) is mandatory.
